16th Annual Audio Masters Golf Tournament Recap

The 16th Audio Masters Golf Tournament was held at Harpeth Gills Golf Course in Nashville on May 16th and 17th. Thursday was the ‘Live Sound Day’ and Team Sea the Desert Entertainment joined the festivities on Friday ‘Studio Day’, which focuses on the Recording Studio community. This was STDE’s third year attending the 4 person best-ball tournament, with this year’s team consisting of Steffon Hamulak, Eric Torres, Morgan Mills & Liz Cooper. The team showed up early to deck out the golf carts in Mexican Fiesta themed decorations, as well as wore Mexican themed costumes, being the first team in this events history to do so!

It was a fun day of festivities with each hole being sponsored by such companies as Ocean Way Studios, Blackbird Studios, Pepper’s Pro Shop, Sound Stage Studios, BMI, Georgetown Mastering, Audio-Technica, along with many more. A team favorite as always was the Blackbird Studio sponsored hole who offered an East Nashville favorite, Mas Tacos as well as tasty margaritas. Griffin Technology was a sponsor offering some pretty cool audio swag and as always the “Emergency Gold Cart” was roaming around offering a good ole southern delight, moonshine. Even though the day was full of fun with our good friends in the music community, Team STDE tried to stick to business when playing golf, and succeeded! Liz Cooper won longest drive out of all of the players in the tournament and the Sea the Desert Team placed 3rd of the 2nd tier, just behind team Sony ATV!

This tournament has turned into quite the tradition for Sea the Desert Entertainment. Being the primary fund-raiser benefiting the Nashville Engineer Relief Fund, with the proceeds from this tournament aiding many individuals in the local engineering community that have suffered serious health and or financial predicaments, we are proud to support. The event is a cooperative effort of the Audio Engineering Society/ Nashville Section and NERF, Inc., to learn more about the event and AES visit www.theaudiomasters.org.
