SEA THE DESERT GOES TO L.A. FOR NAMM 2012

NAMM 2012 WRAP-UP - January, 25 2012 - Producer and SEA THE DESERT company president Steffon Hamulak, along with staff songwriter Greg Friia and recording artist Jessica Caylyn were in attendance at this year's NAMM show.

"It's always great to reconnect with old friends from some of our favorite pro-audio partners like Mojave Audio, Sennheiser, and Audio-Technica amongst others.  It's great to get cutting edge insight into the latest products and, have the opportunity to introduce a new, rising artist like Jessica Caylyn to the people who manufacture and sell the gear she uses on tour", states Steffon.

Greg Friia agrees, "NAMM is one of my favorite things to do every year.  The relationships you make are priceless but even more for me is the people you run into at the show.  I ran into Bobby Kimball (lead singer for the band Toto) who I haven't seen in years.  As a result, he may be a part of an album I'mworking on with Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals)."

Of the many highlights from the show, it is in fact all about music and, great music was abundant this year.  Some favorite performances included The Bernard Purdie All-Star Band and Will & Miles (Will Champlin, son of Bill Champlin of the band Chicago and Miles Schon, son of Neil Schon of the band Journey) both on Friday night.

After a few good co-writes to close the trip out, it was back to Nashville for the team and back to the Bay Area for Caylyn for a show of her own at Joe's Bar and Grill in Lockford, CA on Saturday night.
